Hey everyone! My name is Bailey Wethern, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Mending Bay. My diverse background in tribal, county, and nonprofit settings sets me apart from others in my field. I’ve learned a lot about healing in different environments, and stages of life. My approach is focused on collaboration and understanding each person’s version of a balanced lifestyle.
Since becoming a therapist it has been important to provide access to services that are not focused on evidence-based practices (EBP). While my years of experience have familiarized me with conventional tools and systems, I remain open and motivated to reimagine care when systems no longer meet our needs. Because let’s be honest, frequently, community needs require a different approach, one that goes beyond the norm- and this is where we can work together!
There are many things that inspire my work as a therapist, my primary motivations include giving back to my community, extending services to rural areas with limited supportive services, and making sure others feel empowered on their personal journey to healing. I personally place a high value on transparency, reciprocity, balance, autonomy, and a sense of belonging. I will always feel honored to walk alongside the people I serve as they discover their own path to recovery, honoring the strengths, stories, and wisdom that they already carry within themselves. I look forward to any opportunity to walk alongside you and grow myself from our relationship working together.
*Please reference the services tab for further information on EBP utilized and past employment that shaped my clinical lens.

When I Have Time to Chill:
I love to be kayaking or sitting next to a bonfire with my favorite people. I enjoy having time to play some video games or a board game with my brothers. I’ve recently purchased a new e-bike and doing my best to become more active while taking advantage of being outside. I am not the most crafty/artsy person but finding the perfect sticker or addition to my sleeve of tattoos is fun to discover.
